Dad's Day

I have to say that with all this moving things are not up to my normal standard so we have been a little creative with holidays and such lately.
But, the amazing men in my life are understanding of my situation and are so great regardless.

Colby, the kids and I are so lucky to have you!  We love you so much and are grateful that you are the Daddy in our home.  You have taken on the role of Father so well.  I am so excited to keep up the journey of raising these kids with you.
From Jaxon: Dad I love that you build things with me and play basketball and stuff.
From Kyah: I love Daddy.  I love when we play and laugh.
I am so blessed!  I not only have Colby, but I have an amazing Dad who still takes care of his little girl and comes to her aid and rescue, a Father-in Law who loves us already, Harley who loves his children through and through, and Grandpas and Great-Grandpas who make my kids shout for joy.
I love each of you and I am so grateful to have you all.

Easter Eggstravaganza

What a fun Easter weekend!  The kids were competely spoiled and had fun everywhere they went.
Saturday we went over to the Parrish's for brunch, easter egg hunt and egg dying.

Then from there they went to Harley's for an easter pinata and birthday bbq for their Dad.

And finally Sunday we had a great day at primary and ended with more birthday celebrations (Happy Birthday Rach) and another easter hunt - so spoiled.

Valentine's Day Loot

The amazing room mother for Jaxon's class made each one of the kids a Valentine's Monster.
Jaxon thought it was super cool.

Here is all of his Valentine's Loot.  Can you see that picture of the girl near the heart?
Well this is what was written on the back of that picture...

Yup, a little love note.
When I asked Jax about it, he said - "Yeah, she likes me."
What???  So I inquired further as to what that meant and if she was his girlfriend...
"Nope, girls still have cooties and stuff Mom."
That's my boy.

Kyah even did Valentines at daycare.
She was so excited - it's rough to be the little sister not in school, but daycare is really good about doing "school" type things and she loves it.
I just happened to get a treat for Valentines too, my most favorite flowers.
Thanks babe!

Days of Presents

There is one perk to having divorced parents - holidays go on for DAYS.
When you factor in that these kids have Christmas with Harley and his parents, Colby and I and then presents or parties with both my parents and Colby's - that is a lot of celebrating and gift giving.

Christmas

Christmas Eve getting ready to open up our traditional pj's.

Oh Christmas Tree! Oh Christmas Tree!
This is one of my favorite parts of Christmas.

For Mom and Dad's viewing pleasure the kids got wax lips in their stockings.
Santa Presents

These faces are what making the Christmas madness worth it.
I love these two.

We truly are so blessed.
Not just in material possessions but, it has been a year rich in blessings.
2011 could be one of the best years yet.
