Family reunion of the Zoo Variety
During our Smith Family Reunion we made a visit to the Hogle Zoo to see the new exhibit and have some fun exploring with our cousins.
The new Rocky Shores Exhibit is very cool and definately worth checking out.
I LOVE Jaxon's face in this picture. He's watching the Sea Lion show.
The Tigers put on an amazing show! I've never seen them so active. They were chasing each other and swimming and playing. I've never been so glad for thick safety glass.
Here is Kyah smiling before the ride actually started, once it started it quickly vanished.

Introducing Mr. P
Introducing my new nephew Mr. P. The kids were so excited to meet him and hold him. With all of these pregnant bellies they were anxious to get to actually hold a baby - I was too.
My baby sister and twin is now a mommy - I am so proud of her. Mr. P is so handsome and such a good baby. I am so excited to get to spend time with them as he grows up. Rach and Andrew are our partners in crime and we love them so much. Congrats guys!!

All in a Days Work
Koerner girls love to throw parties - any excuse for food and decorations works for me.
In one day of madness we threw a bridal shower and a wedding shower.
Food and food and more food. Just the way we like it.
For the bridal shower we did an outdoor luncheon with an orange and yellow palette.
For the baby shower we had a more Pinterest inspired party.
This party was desserts only and with yellow, white and grey as the colors there were plenty of options to choose from.

I Love to See the Temple
Living less than 5 minutes from the temple is an amazing perk to living in Daybreak.
Nothing like a little walk around the temple on a Sunday evening.

Dinosaur Museum
Living a few blocks away from Thanksgiving Point has its perks.
Wanting to do something fun as a family we ran over to the dinosaur museum.
I swear this was Jaxon's idea and he was happy - he just hates that Mom always wants to take pictures.
The kids loved the sand/water area with the dinosaur figures.
I think they would have stayed there all night.
And this would be Jaxon's interpretation of the massive shark behind him.
Since Jaxon was 3 he's said he wanted to be a Paleontologist, so this exhibit was right up his alley.
He LOVED uncovering dinosaur bones.

Future Rodeo Queen
We figured out this last summer that Kyah LOVES horses.
Colby traded a friend at work some Jazz tickets and he took the family horseback riding.
Kyah was in seventh heaven.
It started with her being led around and then the walked the horse, but by the time we were finishing up
Kyah was riding all on her own - she didn't even want anyone to walk next to her. She thought she was such a big girl - she loved every minute of it.

Everyone got in on the action.
Dad included - this may have been his second time on a horse in his life, but he did a great job.
I wish you could see Jax's face, but he has the death grip on me.
He really didn't want to ride, but he did it anyway - I was so proud of him for at least trying.
