Logan's 1st Birthday Party

 It was my nephew Logan 's 1st birthday.

My sister in law set up the cutest party for him.

She did all the decorations herself - everything, isn't it cute?

 I brought the smash cake and cupcakes.

He had never had chocolate so he wasn't quite sure what to think at first, but he eventually go the hang of it.

Cake Fav.'s of 2011

By far the most popular cakes of 2011 were Angry Birds related.

I love how trends even find there way into food.

These little birds (and pigs) are on everyone's phone.

At Christmas I was amazed at all the Angry Bird stuff - pillows, shirts, pjs.

And CAKE!

The next two cakes were also quite popular, but still a distant 3rd and 4th to the Angry Birds.

to do anything quite noteworthy... especially when you factor in sick kids. 

Tell me Mom's what do you do?  How do you keep your kids healthy?

When we came home from Park City Kyah had a raging case of strep and Jax had croup (again).

My kids take vitamins everymorning... I try to put them to bed at a decent hour... I encourage hand washing... I keep my house clean and even wash lightswitches and door knobs (not freak style, but I try),

But I can't keep them healthy.  In fact, I just discovered that the anti-biotic Kyah had to have to recover from the Strep has given her a yeast infection - seriously?!?!?

 

Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

We're friends - right?

(Even typing this makes me cringe, when people start a conversation like that it's generally not good, but bear with me.)

So, if we're friends can I ask you a question?

This is something I would generally ask my sisters or some girlfriends - but I have a strong feeling my results would be skued.  And by all means feel free to giggle, but I'd still like your opinion.

So, here's the topic - Hickeys.

What do you think?  Are they still labelled as "Tramp Stamps"?  Is it okay if you are under a certain age?  Is it just okay if you're married?  Is it okay to have them as long as they are not seen?  Are they offensive?  What do you think when you see somewhere sporting one?

I'm not asking because I'm hoping it's totally okay to walk around covered in bright purple hickeys, just merely a thought... It's something commonly joked about in my family and if you ever show up adorned with one there will definitely be some ribbing coming your way - but besides my often sideways family, I'm just curious what everyone else thinks.
